Position Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to provide safety support to field or plant operations and office employees. This includes evaluating safe work practices, interpreting safety policy, procedures, and rules, supporting safety committees, facilitating incident investigation, conducting safety field observations, and other operational needs as appropriate Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL Review documents and procedures; Enter data into Intelex; Conduct safety related training as necessary; Attend HSE meetings Ensure all mishaps are addressed effectively by promptly reporting and investigating them and by taking required corrective actions Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes. Inspect and audit facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation and management system compliance. Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment. Assist with reviewing Job Safety, Environment Analyses (JSEA) and Identify potential hazards and offer abatement assistance. Interpret safety regulations for others interested in industrial safety. Other duties as directed by Supervisor SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities . Qualifications REQUIRED Must be a U.S. Citizen Associates Degree in Safety & Occupational Health or related field, or currently enrolled in accredited program. Minimum 1-3 years of relevant safety experience. Must have a valid driver's license KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals. Treats others fairly and with respect. Knowledge of department's policies, rules, regulations, business goals, vision, organizational structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, and values, etc. Ability to establish and maintain project priorities.
