The Facilitator will lead an hourly workforce under supervision of the department manager, and provide guidance to team members in a fast-paced manufacturing work environment. They will ensure production goals and outputs are met, a safe work environment is maintained, and that the team adheres to quality standards and processes.The Facilitator is a self-driven worker who has great attention for detail and is proficient at multitasking. They will use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and must evaluate information from a variety of sources.Essential FunctionsThe Facilitator may also perform the regular job duties of their assigned area.Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules, including housekeeping practices; participate in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits. Proactively communicate and address safety concerns.Lead an hourly workforce and take ownership to ensure production goals and outputs are met, a safe work environment is maintained, and that the team adheres to quality standards and processes.Schedule personnel on the floor and assign work; direct and assist employees in daily work to ensure products meet order specifications.Act as point of contact, or supporting role as needed, for cycle counting; including having specific knowledge of department and SAP computer system and also ordering of materials from warehouse and externally.Facilitate daily department meeting - driving actions to closure, understanding reasons for gaps and ways to prevent them from reoccurring.Coordinate and follow-up on critical (hot) orders in area.Identify on-the-job training needs for department.Observe and provide coaching to operators on the floor.Screen operator time-off requests according to guidelines and update area time-off schedule.Provide input on operator performance as part of annual performance review process.Conduct new hire area specific training and orientation.Support area supervisor/manager on quality procedure review and updates through document change order (DCO) process.Support ongoing skill development training of operators in department.Support area supervisor/manager on maintaining business processes/practices (work instructions, process sheets, etc.).Support new hire on-the-job training.Help to raise awareness and promote participation in company sponsored events.Supports department by completing operator functions as needed. 18. Performs any additional duties as assigned by the area Supervisor or ManagerRequired QualificationsAbility to work overtime.Ability to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.Desired Qualifications2+ years of directly related on the job experience.Previous experience in manufacturing environment.Proficient in MS Office and SAP.Ability to work under minimal supervision.Demonstrates a high level of operational understanding of work practices, technology and safety risk analysis (SRA).Knowledge and understanding of area specific equipment.Learns, understands, and is able to implement and adhere to all policies, practices and procedures.
