We're on a mission to redefine the energy sector by unlocking the power of engineering, data, and science.About the position As a sourcing intern in Baker Hughes you will learn and understand the purchasing needs of the entire Baker Hughes business, work to find solutions for those needs in Mexico (+$500 Million USD): scout for suppliers, especially for Chemicals, create a supplier directory, screen and evaluate suppliers, attend supplier fairs in Mexico. You will also learn to prepare Requests for Quote (RFQs), understand costs and negotiate prices with suppliers, understand the key technical requirements and identify the right suppliers to send them to; interact with suppliers to provide quotes in a timely fashion, as well as with engineering and sourcing in the USA facilities to clarify any questions. As A Chemicals Intern you will have a very high component of RFQs related to Chemicals and will learn and be required to understand the requirements as well as learn to assess supplier capabilities for Chemicals. However you will learn and be required to support Metal-Mechanical & RCP (Rubber, Composites & Plastics) or other commodities.Qualification Requirements Student of an accredited Technological University. Highly preferred Chemical Engineering or related area.
