We strive to provide not only superior technology and design, but also outstanding quality, service, and application support.The Mid-Atlantic Sales Manager will develop strong partnerships with our life science customers to expand our robust install base, generate new sales opportunities and facilitate the success of our end users. They will travel to regional client sites (PA, MD, DE, WV and D.C) to present our industry leading solutions, utilize their commercial expertise to expand networks at regional conferences and collaborate with our cross-functional teams to support customer accounts. This is a rapidly growing region in the life science space, and our commercial group is looking to add a team member who will achieve yearly sales targets, grow the business through customer focus and develop professionally through internal and external training opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Generate new business using existing and potential customer networksManage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term successDevelop positive relationships with clientsAct as the point of contact and handle customers' individual needsResolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely mannerReport on the status of accounts and transactionsSet and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives. Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)Estimated 50% domestic travel, up to 25% overnight Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Attend company sponsored trade shows within the territory and brings awareness to local or regional conferences that would help create sales opportunities in the territoryHave a basic technical understanding of our competitors' products and sales distributionThe ideal candidate has a scientific background and is self-motivated, strategic and customer focused. They have strong communication and interpersonal skills, manages their time well, enjoys collaborative problem-solving and is results oriented.
