We take responsibility for the business' success by building trusted relationships and understanding our partners.Partner with the bestAs a Drilling and Completions Fluids Laboratory Technician you will be for responsible for ensuring that Baker Hughes can deliver flawless execution in the Drilling and Completions fluids laboratory. This includes mixing and testing drilling and completion fluid samples, management of laboratory sample inventory, shipping and receiving, maintenance of the laboratory inventory, and calibrations tracking system. This function requires excellent organizational skills, detailed orientated, and experience in a technical laboratory environmentDrilling and Completions Fluids Laboratory Technician will:Mix and test drilling and completion fluid samplesLarge batch mixes Management of stock and samples. Operation of the Laboratory Management Software (LabOrg) Spot QA performance checks Product comparison testing Product evaluation testing (quick R&D project) Ensuring drilling fluids and completion fluid products meet required specifications. Performing periodic calibrations or verifications of laboratory instruments and equipment. Preparing test solutions and reagents for laboratory use. Ensure that all chemical reagents and flammable material are stored in accordance with the allowable storage quantity and condition requirements. Storing finished product samples according to shelf-life/retention period requirement. Performing checks and verification analysis if necessary. Handling laboratory cleanliness, laboratory waste, and ensuring proper disposal in accordance with environmental regulations. Carrying out all required responsibilities safely as outlined in the standard operations manual and performing other related tasks. Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services). Have knowledge of calibration and maintenance of drilling fluid laboratory equipment. Demonstrate relevant work experience in technical laboratory environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift to 25 Lbs.
