Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate applicant will be part of a major project with other professionals. Responsibilities Leads a high performing Civil/Structural Discipline team on the design effort of a major project Provide detailed engineering input to all design phases, including interpretation and challenge of standards Reviews and approves project drawings, standards, procedures, and specifications Manages scope and meets project schedules by providing weekly updates using Wood's tools to reflect the mechanical discipline team's progress Provides mechanical engineering expertise to the client, ranging from conceptual, front-end, detailed design and close-out deliverables Coordination with disciplines in preparation and development of deliverables Provide practical engineering support to the construction/commissioning phases of projects Takes responsibility for study, design, specification, and services related to the engineering discipline Skills / Qualifications Relevant Engineering Degree (eligible for membership to Engineers Australia) Possesses over 15 years' civil/structural engineering experience Prior experience on ammonia nitrate plants as well as onshore and offshore O&G facilities essential Must convey a professional image with customers Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (AS, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, etc.) Prior experience working with high value engineering centers highly regarded Excellent team management skills in a challenging work environment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential Ability to build and sustain customer relationships Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
