Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently seeking a Senior Piping Designer for our growing Mining & Mineral group to meet the large demand in critical metals projects. We can offer you a career in the ever-expanding battery and magnet metals industry driving the decarbonisation of the globe. This full time permanent role will be based in our modern office in the city centre and will be a key pillar for our expanding team. Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. A key component of decarbonising the world is the Mining and Minerals Industry which supplies the critical minerals required for this revolution. Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects. In this role, you will be responsible for duties such as: Develop piping and pipe support standard detail drawings Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures Provide input into the P&IDs and participate in HAZOP reviews Provide technical support to the onsite construction teams, projects department and estimating department Ensure the quality of deliverables in line with the relevant codes and standards, needs of the customer and regulatory authorities Skills / Qualifications Minimum of 10 years design drafting experience Strong knowledge in applying relevant industry design practices and key national and international standards and codes Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, particularly the ability to communicate mechanical/piping/pipeline requirements to other members of the project team Proficient in AutoCAD, Microstation, Openplant Ability to deliver best practice plant/piping design, with emphasis on cost-effective engineering Excellent attention to detail Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High degree of competency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs If you're an experienced Senior Piping Designer, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity!
