Responsibilities Weatherford has a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join the team in Edmonton, Canada. The Area Quality Manager (AQM) provides support and guidance for the various operational functions within the area. The key purpose of this role is to conduct root cause analysis investigations, assist in implementing corrective and preventative actions, present findings to leadership and provide support for the quality management system including ISO, API certifications. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: SAFETY & COMPLIANCE Follows all safety and compliance procedures; maintains compliance and safety as first priorities when working across all areas of the business. In case of concerns with safety, quality non-conformances, or integrity concerns, exercises 'Stop Work Authority' to suspend operations. Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with company policies, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices in the applicable country. Ensure controls are in place to guarantee compliance with government regulations in relation to quality. OPERATIONAL CAPABILTY Ensure that the Quality Management System is understood, followed, measured and communicated regularly. Conducts root cause analysis investigations, identifies corrective and preventative actions, and assists in driving actions to completion. Implements actions that have a positive financial benefit to the business. Support Geozone consolidated risk-based audit plan incorporating ISO and API internal and external audits, customer audits and product line audits. Support all Geozone API and ISO certifications; coordinates with HSE and other functions where applicable. Collaborates with NAM Geozone functions and product lines and global Quality team to ensure the procedures in the Quality Management System reflect current processes. Support Quality Management reviews inclusive of all relevant functions at the Geozone level as well as for each relevant ISO/API certification area. Provides guidance and support for audit findings, CPAR actions, and non-conformances; assists with closure. Assists with collecting data for KPIs within the Geozone and building the score card. Coordinates with Geozone cross functional leaders on quality improvements. Maintains an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement, and an active contribution to teamwork concepts. Responsible for monitoring and controlling on time completion of quality activities within budget. Execute other quality tasks as requested by the NAM Geozone Quality Manager. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in service operations or manufacturing. 8+ years Oil and Gas experience. 5+ years experience in ISO 9001 and API environment. 5 Years experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5Y, Fishbones, or FMEA. Proven experience in an ISO and API compliant quality management system. Proven experience in quality auditing and managing external and internal audits. Demonstrated abilities related to problem-solving, decision-making, judgement, and team-oriented skills in order to manage multiple projects. Strong analytical skills and proven root cause analysis skills including cross functional facilitation ability. Clear understanding of corrective, containment, and preventative actions. Proven experience in verifying effectiveness of audit and RCA actions. Strong communication skills - verbal and written - to liaise with quality and cross functional counterparts to address quality related matters. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to evoke critical thinking. Ability to communicate and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and third-party auditors. Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Ability to read, write, speak and understand English proficiently. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Oilfield services operational and technical experience. Root Cause Analysis Incident Investigation Training - Taproot, Apollo or equivalent. Six Sigma. Experience with Augmented Reality technology. Weatherford enterprise and management systems knowledge. Lead Auditor certified. Experience using JD Edwards. Experience using Oracle. Taproot or Apollo experience for root cause analyses. Experience leading in a matrixed organization.
