Responsibilities Weatherford is hiring for a Wireline Repair & Maintenance Technician III for our Spencer Road, Houston Texas facility. This is a hands on, rewarding role where you will be performing w ireline repair & maintenance in the oil and gas industry. The Wireline Repair & Maintenance Technician III will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Job Scope: In a workshop environment, this individual has responsibility for providing "hands-on" technical support to the production and repair of equipment and/or tools. Receives field tools, disassembles them, and repairs and refurbishes the tool to go back to the field using blueprints, manuals, and following protocols. Should be able to diagnose problems with tools/equipment. Primarily troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, implementing mandatory modifications and executing and/or planning preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools, helping to mitigate assets related non-productive time and improve overall service delivery performance. Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks strictly in accordance with Weatherford OEPS standards. Receives supervision and thorough review of all work performed from the Production Supervisor. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Operate crane and/or forklift to load and unload jobs. Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish equipment as required by supervisor. Assembly and disassembly of rental equipment. Assembly of liner systems as per work instructions. Implement mandatory modifications and execute and/or plan preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins as required. Prepare equipment for shipment and accept incoming shipments as supervised. Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated area by hand, forklift, or other means as required. Open crates, and other containers, using hand tools as required. Verify quantities and count independently as required. Required to be available for any approved overtime outside of normal work schedule Required to be available on call for any urgent needs. Follow maintenance and process procedures for applicable products and equipment and complete all relevant documentation. Successfully complete training plan and competency standards as set out in the position within company guidelines. Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford. Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level and within time constraints as required. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. Understand and use all relevant maintenance inspections and repair documentation and procedures for shop personnel. Lead basic troubleshooting of equipment. Assist with preparation and testing thru-tubing equipment. Assist in initiating, updating, and closing out work orders during maintenance of the equipment and assets. Provide mentorship to Repair and Maintenance Technicians I and II's as required. Assist with complex workshop procedures such as FAT's (Factory Acceptance Tests) as required. Performing Competency Assessments under supervision. Qualifications EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years related experience in repair & maintenance Neutron radiation experience Soldering Experience Preferred: Basic computer skills Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing relevant to product line KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY Required: Possess electro-mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of pressure safety Basic operational knowledge of crane, forklift and materials handling equipment Good communication skills, both verbal and written Individual must be able to follow instructions Should be able to work closely with fellow employees as well as individually Excellent organizational and planning skills Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds Preferred: Possess knowledge of workshop tools utilized by facility IPC certification Wireline experience
