Responsibilities The Manufacturing Engineering Manager has responsibility for repair and maintenance activities in a service or repair facility or depot or manufacturing setting. Manage the planning, coordination, and direction of all maintenance operations, equipment installation, preventative maintenance, and facility and/or equipment repair. Manage efficient operations of facilities and equipment through the direction of a technical support staff and/or outside technical and non-technical support services. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs. Global planning to ensure customer demand is captured and analyzed, while ensuring a robust supply chain solution is in place to meet the demand within requested lead-times and cost. Responsible for managing and processing all customer enquiries and orders related to one or more specific product lines Will have to manage and coordinate costing, planning and scheduling activities across multiple plants globally to ensure the optimal supply chain solution is achieved at all times. This includes interacting with: o Customer service, o Planning, o Purchasing, o Engineering, o Machine shops, o Quality in addition to external suppliers across the various manufacturing locations. This position will act as the main point of contact globally for the Product Line, Customers, regions and other departments related the Product line assigned. Perform moderately to complex activities related to the supply/demand and historical consumption in addition to working with the Product Line and regions to forecast future demand in order to maintain continuity of supply and a level load on all the manufacturing locations. Work with Category Management and global procurement to ensure timely availability of raw material and components to meet customer demands. In addition, this role will play a significant role in ensuring all manufacturing locations have adequate resources in place to meet demand at all times within the standard lead times and cost. Act as liaison between customer/region and various departments within Weatherford. Coordinate customer service and planning functions across global manufacturing locations Be proficient in JDE processes and problem resolution. Manage and drive improvement in the processing of Weatherford intercompany enquiries, RFQs and direct customer purchase orders. Provide order acknowledgements back to regions and/or direct customers with scheduled completion dates, part numbers, and pricing. Provide pricing and delivery lead-time information. Maintain RFQ, sales order/purchase order log. Process month-end reports (revenue, backlog, open orders, forecast, etc.). Liaise with business unit supply chain management on manufacturing schedules and on urgent orders. Manage and coordinate multiple business unit/plant enquiries, RFQs, purchase orders. Coordinate product delivery dates across multiple manufacturing locations. Manage the contract review process ensuring all customer requirements are being addressed. Responsible for coordinating between the customer and business unit. Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience in a Supervisory role within a machining/manufacturing environment Minimum 10 years experience working in an ISO 9001-2000 and API environment Must have a flexible work schedule to ensure availability and coverage across multiple time zones Degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent Required Experience Solid background in MRP/ERP Green/Black belt certification is highly desired Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills Must have strong analytical and financial skills Must be customer oriented.
