Responsibilities Job Purpose The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Geozone Manager is responsible for the implementation of the HSE management system across all Weatherford Business Units, Product Lines, manufacturing, engineering, and product development groups within the geographical area. The HSE Manager is the senior-most HSE appointment working within the relevant area, with all other Weatherford HSE personnel reporting to this person, either directly or functionally. Duties & Responsibilities SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Company policies and procedures, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices Responsible with being familiar with the Company's Security, Compliance & HSE policies and takes an active role in the compliance & improvement of Weatherford Management System including meeting all reporting requirements Complies with the Company's Rules to Live By and all applicable rules, regulations and standards that the Company abides by Places Quality, Health & Safety, Security and protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers or the communities in which we live and work at risk of loss Seeks continual improvement in Quality, Health, Safety, Security & protection of the Environment, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer and employee inputs, knowledge and technology and best business practices to exceed customer expectations Demonstrates effective safety leadership by being responsible for the health and safety arrangements of all and any subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises to enhance the Company's commitment to safety performance QUALITY Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford Management System Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business OPERATIONS Promotes and facilitates Operational Excellence and Performance System (OEPS) in the business and operations throughout the geographical area Support the investigation of all incidents and near misses and ensures they are entered into Weatherford Performance Tracking System (WPTS) correctly Responsible for the overall HSE data quality of Weatherford Performance Tracking System (WPTS). Audits to ensure that the HSE management system is uniformly implemented throughout the area. Assist with external audits and certifications such as ISO 14001 & 45001 Implements and ensures compliance of incident-prevention, risk management systems and programs for incorporation into common operational policies of the organization Ensures timely investigations of HSE incidents, reporting and follow-up Engages with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate expertise is involved in the investigation of all incidents Continuously monitors for negative trends within HSE statistical data and reports these to the relevant stakeholders as required Reviews Client bids/tenders and provide appropriate input pertaining to HSE requirements Ensures common HSE training standards are implemented throughout the area (i.e. HSE specific training, management system training, individual safety certification training) Ensures common work standards / policies are complied with throughout the area (i.e. working at heights, electrical safety standards, blood borne pathogens, H2S standards, etc.) Consolidates, evaluates, and processes the HSE statistical information in an accurate and timely fashion from all Weatherford entities within the area for rollup into the Corporate HSE Department Ensures that all incident reporting protocols are followed by all Weatherford entities within the area Supports Root Cause Analysis Investigations with functional expertise, in conjunction with the applicable operations manager COMMUNICATION Represents Weatherford as the visible representative of HSE within the area Coordinates initiatives or activities with Corporate Risk Management, Corporate HSE, and Human Resources Departments to maintain consistency in processes and guidelines Interacts with both internal and external customers with regards to HSE on behalf of Weatherford Communicates with Geozone & Product Line management to ensure that all understand their roles and responsibilities with regards to HSE. Meets with regulatory agencies that govern our operations when the need arises Meets with customer HSE and operations representatives to ensure alignment with key customer requirements Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external Clearly communicates expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports FINANCIAL Identifies and appraises acts, behaviors and conditions which could produce incidents and financial losses and evaluates potential extent of injuries resulting from accidents All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses Costs incurred should be within approved budget and processed within agreed time frames and following the relevant financial policy and procedure PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT Responsible for actively engaging their employees to support talent management through Weatherford's performance management & coaching tools and processes, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning & regular coaching opportunities Responsible for collaborating with Human Resources and Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personal & to foster an environment that enables the Company to attract & retain a high performing talented workforce Directs Geozone HSE staff and provides HSE oversight for all product lines Identifies resources needed to effectively deliver and maintain the HSE compliance training in the area to all Weatherford employees In collaboration with HR: recruits, hires, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers and disciplinary action within the area HSE group Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential VISION & LEADERSHIP Demonstrates leadership, ethical behavior and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree A minimum of eight years QHSE related experience in Oil & Gas with 5 years in a management or senior advisory role Professionally recognized HSE certification Experience in performing audits Experience working in matrix organizations Experience in Root Cause Analysis Incident Investigation Skills & Knowledge REQUIRED Strong technical knowledge in Health, Saftey and Environment and a good understanding of the other disciplines Extensive relationship history with large organizations / clients Comprehensive experience in Incident management / failure analysis Ability to interpret reliability and statistical data Experienced in & enterprise wide management systems Knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements for the relevant country/countries Able to make presentations to multi-disciplined groups (including internal and external personnel), run effective workshops and produce reports / documentation Excellent teamwork and influencing skills Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills Good organizational skills Able to communicate with both frontline workforce and senior leadership Proficient at demonstrating visible leadership in the field and workshop and to a HSE team Proficient in Contract / Tender reviews Proficient knowledge in Microsoft basic suite of programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) PREFERRED Oilfield services technical experience Document management and control experience Special Requirements Able to travel 50% (dependent on business needs) Able to travel to remote locations Able to conduct onshore and offshore (if applicable) site visits
