Responsibilities Weatherford has an exciting opportunity to join us as an IT Technical Architect based at our Houston Head Office. The sucessful candidate will work alongside Enterprise Architects as a member of the IT Architecture Team, to design, configure, document, and implement a variety of cloud-based platforms and solutions. This includes the design and deployment of cloud infrastructure, data integration capabilities, data pipelines, platform services, security, networking, and management/monitoring services. The initial focus will be working with other architects on the team to build a cloud-based modern analytics and reporting platform. The IT Technical Architect will have responsibility for working within a specific or a few related IT domains, such as servers, storage, networking, datacenters, messaging, collaboration, web technology or software development, to understand the company's specific business and technical requirements related to the domain(s). Uses extensive and deep domain knowledge to create designs that address specific business and technical requirements. Minimum works with other IT personnel within the domain to implement technologies and processes associated with the designs. Qualifications Experience REQUIRED Minimum of 7+ years' experience in IT architecture within one or more specific technical domains Bachelor's from an accredited university in business, management information systems or equivalent field - Master's preferred Works under the direction of a lead architect 2+ years' of experience with configuration and deployment of infrastructure and services in one or more cloud-based platforms 2+ years' experience with design and deployment of data integration platforms in the cloud PREFERRED Recent design and implementation experience with cloud-based data analytics platform services Recent experience with implementation of data lake technology in the cloud Experience with data modelling and visualization Experience building data pipelines in the cloud Knowledge, Skills & Abilities REQUIRED 2+ years' experience with software development and scripting, including SPARK and Python 2-4+ years' experience with various data integration patterns and technologies, including event-driven/message-based, APIs, Change Data Capture, file-based, service bus and ETL technologies PREFERRED 2+ years' experience with design and deployment of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, Azure Data Lake, and Synapse analytics services 2+ years' using Azure Data Factory to create data ingestion and transformation pipelines Experience with : Azure DevOps Relational database technology, including SQL Server and Oracle Informatica or other ETL platforms Databricks technology, including Delta Lake capabilities Microsoft Azure Data Lake Gen2 and Azure Synapse Analytics or equivalent Data transformation, data modelling and visualization using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft PowerBI
