Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Process & Technical Safety Leader to support a new project. Based in Singapore, and working within our clients office as part of a collaborative project team, your work will be focusing on the detailed design phase of a new "Not Normally Manned" (NNM) platform to be installed off the coast of Western Australia. Your objectives within this role will include e xecuting assigned scopes of work and supporting / supervising tasks delegated to the team and providing discipline expertise to the project and the business. You will p articipate in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies and other safety workshops, p roviding technical advice and solutions across diverse technical issues within your specific discipline. You will coordinate with other disciplines during design development, construction, pre-commissioning and start-up along with technical support to site as required. You will develop and r eview specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations, working to ensure that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems. Accountabilities and responsibilities of the role: Attend client meetings and communicate issues with lead engineer as required Interact with team members in a positive and professional manner at all times. Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement Participate in audits and incident investigations as required Actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development. Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up Perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) as required Interrogate and review Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) Deputise for Lead Engineer where required Execute assigned personal objectives Manage third party suppliers in the execution of engineering delivery Applicants please note that this role is only open to those who currently hold valid working rights for Singapore. Skills / Qualifications It takes a diverse range of people to achieve the level of impact Wood has on the global energy sector. As a member of the team you will have experience in or be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications. Degree (BSc / BEng) or equivalent with broad relevant experience Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent experience Demonstrated balance of industrial experience at a relevant level and position and experience in Detailed Design project phases Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry Minimum of 6 years proven capability in an EPC company Flexible and adaptable with a strong commitment to safety in the workplace Previous experience of site-based project work involving field engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, or maintenance would be an advantage Thorough awareness of international codes and standards Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred Previous experience of West Australian Assets would be an advantage Competent in knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation Competent in own discipline to provide support to the business Demonstrate current knowledge with industry and technology development within discipline Demonstrate continual professional development Experience of design deliverables associated with loss prevention scopes Experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies Experience of directing Management of Change (MOC) Company Overview Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
