Overview / Responsibilities Wood is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Operations business in support of one of our key energy clients in the Asia Pacific (APAC) West region. This is Perth based role on an initial 12-month contract and is expected to develop into a longer-term ongoing assignment, to support a new major project. Wood "Operations" delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers with operations in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. As a Principal Electrical Engineer with relevant d esign expertise in brownfields oil and gas projects , you will be reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Lead and working collaboratively across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery. Taking the lead on some of the world's most technically complex brownfields Oil & Gas projects for the Electrical Engineering group, you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. Skills / Qualifications You must have full Australian work rights and reside in Western Australia to be considered for this role at this time. In addition, you will be s uitably qualified in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution and have: In-depth technical knowledge of Electrical Engineering - design and operation Demonstrated experience in ETAP and DigSILENT PowerFactory Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards - international and Australian Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with safety, technical and commercial requirements Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills Proven experience managing teams of Engineers Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with proven experience in client-facing roles What will set you apart will be your experience in the following: ETAP software DigSilent PowerFactory It takes an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds to unlock solutions to tomorrow's most critical challenges.
