Overview / Responsibilities Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations Wood is currently recruiting for a Planner, in this role you will undertake project planning and scope definition development, and incorporation of scientific advice, for the effective and efficient delivery of Seqwater's natural asset investment programs. You will participate in the provision of expertise in business case development, assessment of improvement options, planning criteria and guidelines development as well as management of relevant projects. Based in our Brisbane office or North Pine & Hinze Dam, this role will allow a combination of working from home and in the office of the location closest to where you reside. At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place Responsibilities Undertake project planning and development of project scope definitions for the effective and efficient delivery of Seqwater 's natural asset investment programs, including: Undertaking the review of natural asset project concepts and preliminary designs and support assessment of detailed project designs Preparing detailed options assessments, incorporating scientific advice, and developing detailed costings Undertaking evaluation and efficiency assessment of delivery options and developing businesses cases Liaising with internal Seqwater staff and key external stakeholders, including partnerships, as required Carrying out on ground validation of deliverability of improvements and site suitability analysis Participate in the provision of expertise in other business case development, assessment of improvement options, planning criteria and guidelines development within Sustaining Capital Participate in the provision of expertise in the delivery of improvement projects and natural asset programs in other business units (Project Delivery and Regional operations, Environment and Communications), including response to emergent issues and risks Observe and comply with all Seqwater work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and procedures Undertake other duties, which are assigned from time-to-time by the direct supervisor and or Manager Skills / Qualifications Bachelor of Science or Engineering in a related discipline Unrestricted 'C Class' Drivers Licence Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, catchment and natural environment planning Proven experience and knowledge in planning and scoping natural asset projects Demonstrated applied knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation Proven ability to effectively manage natural investment projects, utilising external professionals, contractors, consultants and partnership arrangements Proven ability to prepare quality reports, scoping studies and business cases Demonstrated skills in consultation, negotiation and co-ordination, and the ability to work with people at all levels internally and externally Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with spatial mapping software such as ArcGIS If you're an experienced Planner ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today.
