Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for Lifting/Hoisting Supervisor (Iraqi national) to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq on a 6/1 daily work for the following responsibilities: Ability to engage with the contractors Lifting and Hoisting site teams, mentoring and coaching the contractors L&H supervisors and direct the workforce in all aspects of Lifting and Hoisting. Ability to review design work packs and understand the Construction Scope associated with Lifting and Hoisting. Raise Technical Queries and Technical Deviation Requests when required. Understanding of the tolerances and how they are maintained during the construction installation processes. Ability to review and approve Lifting plans / L&H method systems. Static equipment. Understanding of main static equipment (alignment, foundations, anchoring, levelling, acceptable limits) Ability to interact, engage and understand other disciplines effectively working together to deliver the project scope. Working knowledge of the latest WMP,s using promoting these documents with the contractors L&H workforce. Communicates effectively through the range of communication media (verbal, visual and written). clearly understands the long term goals of the organization and is able to inspire others to adopt and deliver the goals. Drives for delivery using effective measures of progress and management of resources and is capable of taking decisive action to stay on track. Draws the best out of each individual through demonstrating respect for their contribution, enabling them to fulfil their potential. Understanding of Project Work Packs, General Arrangements, Vendor Drawings. Working knowledge of project controls (Planning, Cost, Schedule, Quality) and contractor performance assessment and monitoring (including KPIs) General knowledge of manpower, plant, planning and progress measures that L&H will require and reporting against the project plan. Understanding the general installation and construction sequence of a project. Understanding of Project Work Packs, General Arrangements, Vendor Drawings. Working knowledge of project controls (Planning, Cost, Schedule, Quality) and contractor performance assessment and monitoring (including KPIs) Skills / Qualifications Minimum 5 years in Oil & Gas Project Construction and Execution. Experience in Brown and Greenfield construction projects. Builds effective networks and alliances. Accepts personal accountability to drive continuous improvement through effective influencing, appropriate challenge, overcoming resistance and resolving conflicts. Is aware and contributes to the Key Performance Indicators and targets to be monitored including cost, schedule, safety, quality, etc. Can identify and assess HSSE Risks systematically and define the standards, plans, procedures and resources necessary to manage them. Define the barriers required to control the identified HSSE hazards and the recovery measures needed. Understand and communicate HSSE action plans including the targets which are integrated within overall Business Plans. Take ownership of site HSSE and Care for People for both client and Contractor on all site and facilities. Full and active participation in the Flying Falcons program.
