Overview / Responsibilities Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services and project support in the water industry. These services cover South East Queensland across multiple locations. Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Construction Inspector, t he successful candidate will work with the contract administration team, reporting back to the Superintendent or Superintendent's Representative. Based in Mount Crosby or Ipswich, you will undertake inspection duties during construction of various water infrastructure projects including construction of water pipelines, water treatment plants, dams and pumping stations. Inspections and observations will be undertaken to ensure workmanship, quality and safety on the construction site are in accordance with the required specifications and designs. At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place. Responsibilities Lead the review and the provision of critical commentary for SEQwater construction methodologies, programmes and other relevant documentation Contribute to safety in design and construction risk assessment processes Contribute to the review of design documentation with a particular focus on constructability elements Oversee the onsite construction works being undertaken by SEQwater Carry out site inspections and observation of construction activities to monitor and report on workmanship, quality, compliance and safety related matters Skills / Qualifications Minimum 15 years' experience of relevant construction experience Experience in the delivery of major projects (>$50m) Experience in the delivery of civil infrastructure and or dam projects, highly regarded Extensive experience in undertaking inspection and verification type duties within a construction or water infrastructure industry Extensive experience in reading and reviewing construction designs, work method statements and other associated construction related documentation Extensive experience in preparing, presenting and reviewing written and oral reports A certificate or higher in a related Civil Construction or Engineering discipline would be highly regarded If you're an experienced Senior Construction Inspector, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today.
