JOB SUMMARY
Nabors is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer for the Controls and Automation platform team. The developer is responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering fast and reliable software and mentoring junior developers. The position is based in Houston, TX.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Develop user interfaces with latest frontend technologies
Research, analyze and develop product features of increasingly complex nature
Assess new application ideas
Participate in design and architecture reviews
Participate in code review
Maintain release notes on all software versions
Liaise with project manager and product manager on functional requirements
Lab testing of all software with the rig simulator
Provide technical support to field technicians and trainers
Mentor and train junior developers
Occasional supervisory responsibilities
Follows procedures and safety guidelines

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Minimum experience of 7 years
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field
Proficient in Angular JS framework
Strong expertise with HTML, CSS & cross browser compatible code
Experienced in Websocket protocols
Experienced in Typescript
Familiar with testing frameworks like Jasmine
Familiar with charting libraries like D3.js, Plotly
Strong understanding of code versioning tools like Git
Critical thinking and problem-solving things
Great interpersonal and communication skills

 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Oil & Gas Drilling is preferred

 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS
 

The primary location for this position is an office environment with a hybrid work flexibility
Able to lift to 20 lbs.
Rig yard trips may be expected from time to time.
20% travel to rig yards and field.
