Job description

You will report to the Offshore Construction Management team and work with members of the Health & Safety team, Quality team, and other sub-contractors including the Client(s). 
You main objective it to secure that Project Execution Plans are conducted as safely and efficiently as possible maintaining compliance with all relevant company standards. Safe and successful supervision also includes the search for improvements in daily tasks, methods and processes in order to raise the standards of Health & Safety performance and Quality.

Responsibilities

As an offshore supervisor you main areas of responsibility will be:

  • Supervision: 
    Supervision of the Installation & Commissioning tasks in order to complete on time, on budget and maintaining the highest Health & Safety performance and Quality standards.
  • Daily planning and Execution: 
    Plan and execute every task assigned to your supervision as smoothly and efficiently as possible whilst verifying that the performance of the tasks are in accordance with the defined methods processes and procedures set out for the Offshore Windfarm Construction Site.
  • Resources: 
    Plan and coordinate all resources as required by the tasks of the Offshore Windfarm Construction Site, taking necessary action in order to maintain the planning and utilize the efficiency of the People Resource Management Team.
  • Reporting. 
    Using the correct tools, methods and procedures you will collect all relevant data for progress reporting which will be submitted to the Construction Management Team. This could be as often as daily, weekly or monthly depending on the requirement of the reporting. Also reporting to the Health & Safety Team of any issues, Accidents, Incidents, or Observations that may occur on the Offshore Windfarm Construction Site. This must be in a timely manner and according to relevant reporting procedure.
  • Work task tracker and time registration: 
    You shall track and record all the relevant planned/un-planned work tasks, case registrations (CR) and improvements (CIM) of the Offshore Windfarm Construction Site using the relevant tools, methods, processes and procedures. Time registration for all employees and contractors under your supervision must be recorded and approved every day to maintain control of the work tasks.
  • Quality Control:
    Support the Quality team with all relevant inspections and audits that may be required for the Offshore Windfarm Construction Site. This will include working together on Case Registrations (CR) and Quality improvements.
  • Health Safety and Environment:
    You will support the Health & Safety team with communication, training and the relevant controls of Safety. You must be aware of the applicable Health & Safety Standards under your supervision and ensure that all employees and sub-contractors fully understand their roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications
The ideal Supervisor has a successful track record building effective and strong teams in an international environment working with customer and operational focus. You are a strong disciplined team player who are able to coach and inspire others. You have a high integrity and you self-confidence makes you able to stand your ground but at the same time listen to input from others.

Further you are:

  • Highly focused on Health and Safety
  • Flexible in all regards
  • Technical skilled - either Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Able to Communicate fluently in English both oral and written.
  • Familiar with the most common IT tools.
  • Energetic, persistent and independent.
  • Able to keep calm under pressure.
  • Able to work cross cultural
