We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join us at CHPC - Completion Houston Product Center to support the manufacturing process of electrical valves. The Manufacturing Engineer's primary goal is to collaborate with production floor personnel in the manufacturing and testing of our newest electrical valves. Successful position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams. He/she will be the owner of their respective manufacturing processes and enforce implementation by training shop floor personnel, implementing and monitoring metrics, and oversight. Roles and Responsibilities: • Support the manufacturing process of electrical valves • Responsible for the implementation of key elements of Lean, such as: standardized work instructions, line balancing, layout and work sequence (routing) optimization, training development matrix, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/5S workouts, pull processes, TPM (total preventive maintenance), cell design, and quick changeover/batch-size optimization. • Implement process improvements to achieve manufacturing excellence in areas such as process yield (e.g. First Pass Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield), cycle time reduction, and productivity. • Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability issues to Engineering and DFMs (e.g. through the use of Engineering Change Requests - ECRs). • Review and sign off on Engineering Change Orders that impact Inventory - including product life cycle issues, obsolescence, etc. • Create, implement, and monitor key performance indicators and metrics on manufacturing process capability and product quality. • Monitor Quality and reduce process costs. • Responsible for assisting with investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for manufacturing quality issues. • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products and assist in their commercialization. • Assign, direct, and review work of technicians and provide guidance to engineers. With seniority, mentor junior engineers. • Build prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing. Set up and run lab simulations. Design and implement tests, document results, and develop customer presentations. Provide timely corrective actions on defects. • Understand ANSI/Schlumberger drafting methods, standards, and procedures. • Possess basic knowledge of mechanical and, depending on seniority, partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic Product Line. • Maintain status reports on all projects assigned. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: • Bachelor's in science - Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering • Minimum 3 years' relevant industry experience with electrical or electronics components • Experience with electro-mechanical systems, assemblies, and troubleshooting • Proficient with LabVIEW • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
