Duties & Responsibilities Purpose To coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities of the NDT Accredited Training School and develop supporting procedures and protocols. To provide technical support regarding Training and Competency to Operational Managers and Technicians in all Oceaneering locations To undertake and manage training and examinations for NDT Competency Certification Functions To provide a central focal point within IMDS (UK) relating to NDT/Inspection Training and subsequent certificates of competency To work with other Training Managers and trainers globally within Oceaneering to ensure standardization of training and that training packages are understood and training objectives met Oversee the development of trainers/instructors to ensure their continued professional development and competency To develop new and review existing training programmes to ensure we are providing the best and most up to date training for technicians Conduct training sessions in line with BU requirements and in line with current certification programmes To provide specialist input as a level 3 and an SME to managers and technicians during training and audit reviews To work with other level 3's and SME's to develop competency programmes that are in line with regulatory / accreditation requirements, and to review the ongoing compliance with such programmes Support the development of new technologies within Training and Competency, and to assist other SME's in the development of training programmes for new technologies Analyse performance data to determine effectiveness of instructional systems, courses and instructional material Key Activities may include: Ensuring compliance with BS EN ISO/IEC 17020 Implementing and maintaining RT, CR, DR, Radiation Safety related quality and technical systems and procedures Assisting Project Managers in the preparation of technical procedures Advising and assisting all levels of personnel in the implementation of Inspection Services technical procedures and techniques Ensuring relevant standards and codes are maintained by the Company Support recruitment of qualified and experienced personnel to ensure compliance with Oceaneering and Client Competence Assurance and Safety Management System requirements Providing a focal point for RT, CR, DR, Radiation Safety employees to discuss matters relating to technical procedures and techniques, Company and Client policies/procedures Liaising with the Quality department and Inspection Groups to coordinate external audits Carrying out both planned and random audits on projects being carried out including taking follow-up actions Monitoring and reviewing any impact of changes in standards and specification for continued delivery as required by the Director, IMDS - Europe and Africa, including taking follow-up actions Advising and assisting all levels of personnel in the application and effectiveness of both radiation and general safety practices and systems Lead investigations into any formal appeals received from Customers Providing a focal point for RT, CR, DR, training, Radiation Safety employees to discuss matters relating to safety procedures and protocol Undertaking surveillance visits at project job sites to ensure compliance with statutory, Client and project specific requirements for all activities under the Company's control Other essential activities may include initial and ongoing refresher training in RT,CR and DR Assisting in the development of new protocol and working with other SME's in developing new methods and techniques that can be employed Qualifications Qualifications The desires and required qualifications for this position are technical competency certification from both National and International awarding bodies Level 2 or level 3 certification in the subjects that will be taught (PCN, ASNT or CSWIP) A Degree is not necessary for this position, but the knowledge and experience within the subject matter is essential Closing Statement We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to advance in an international company.
