Procurement Specialist Intern Planning and Supply Chain | ProcurementMission The mission of a procurement intern is to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of SLB procurement processes. Responsibilities Supporting Procurement Processes: Assisting in various stages of the procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management. Vendor Communication: Communicating with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods or services. Market Research: Conducting research on potential vendors, market trends, and industry best practices to support decision-making. Data Entry and Analysis: Entering data into procurement systems, maintaining accurate records, and analyzing procurement data to identify areas for improvement. Assisting in RFPs and RFQs: Participating in the creation of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs) and coordinating the response process. Contract Management: Assisting in the management of contracts, including tracking contract timelines, renewals, and compliance. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with other departments such as finance, legal, and operations to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Learning Procurement Software: Familiarizing oneself with procurement software and tools used for sourcing, procurement, and spend management. Administrative Support: Providing general administrative support to the procurement team, including document preparation, scheduling meetings, and maintaining files. Policy Compliance: Ensuring compliance with organizational procurement policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the procurement process. Learning and Development: Actively participating in training programs to enhance knowledge of procurement practices and industry trends. Experience & Exposures: Candidate must be of Angolan Nationality. Must have minimum bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or equivalent. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Fresh Graduates with 1-2 years' experience.. Candidate must have the right attitude, proactive and innovative. Familiar with Microsoft Office products. Can work in a high-pressure environment, learn quickly, and adapts to new problems and situations. Must be a team player, able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization, and a good communicator. Good interpersonal skills. Honesty and high ethics, determination, active listening, confidence and focused. Available to start as soon as possible.
