Position Summary Purpose:Day-to-day implementation of safety strategy, policies, procedures, and programs to ensure workplace safety and health. Develop and assist in leading safety communications that follows regulatory practices/rules, recognizes and reports hazards, initiates and promotes a World Class safety culture. Ensure Health, Security ,Safety, Environmental requirements are fulfilled. Duties & Responsibilities Job Roles: Essential: • Provides field HSE support and guidance throughout all activities. • Compliance o Ensure compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements. o Ensure compliance with contract HSE requirements. • Assists in the development and delivery of Operational Processes safely. • Enforces company policies and procedures. • Assists teams to deliver an exemplary HSE performance. • Performance Management. o Identifies potential and actual areas of improvement and assists in setting and formulating goals and tools for their achievement. o Provides input to leading and lagging HSE performance measures. • Liaises with all stakeholders in order to be aware and educate the workforce on HSE news & updates. • Lessons Learnt. o Provides input to the collection of Lessons Learnt for all activities. • Hazard identification and Risk Assessment. o Assists teams in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and identifying relevant controls to manage and reduce these risks to ALARP. • Fosters a safe culture by being informed, mindful, learning, fair and respectful. • Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) o Owns BBS tools and processes. o Promotes and coaches the workforce in Behavioural Based Safety. • Assurance o Perform audits to measure the level of safety culture. o Carries out or facilitates safety audits and inspections as per audit plan. o Provides HSE input to HSE Management System Reviews. • Incident Management o Ensures Incidents are recorded & reported. o Prepares Initial incident reports. o Carries out immediate Incident & Near Miss investigation. o Facilitates & participates in High-Level Incident investigations. • Training & Coaching o Ensures that the company safety expectations are communicated to the workforce. o Provides training sessions as per Training Plan & Competency development requirements. o Educates workforce on Lessons Learnt from previous & industry incidents. • Contingency Management o Provide immediate response in emergency situations. o Reviews contingency drills to maintain and increase staff competency. o To assist in setting up an effective emergency response organisation on site. • Training & Coaching o Coaches teams on HSE and conducts HSE engagement sessions with them . • Environment o Measures required environmental parameters. o Ensures Waste Segregation is observed. • Working Environment o Carry out and follow up on workplace assessments. • Quality Control o Monitor the quality of data entered in the reporting & action tracking tools. • Contractor Management o Manages contractor and consultants in all aspects of health and safety. • Document Control Non-Essential Qualifications Qualifications:Associate's degree in Health, Safety, Environmental and minimum 5 years of experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in occupational safety and industrial hygieneKnowledge of environment, health and safety regulations.NEBOSH certification.Very good spoken and written EnglishGood knowledge of excel.Career Framework - Professional 7:Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards.
