JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting for an Intermediate/Senior Piping Designer to join our Calgary office within the Oil & Gas Canada business unit. We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual with strong knowledge in Piping Design within an EPC environment. Our projects team has a long history of delivering some of the biggest and most complex projects in Oil & Gas along with associated pipelines and refinery infrastructure. Come and join #TeamWood!RESPONSIBILITIESKey Responsibilities: .Communication with clientsCreate and develop 3D model using various modeling software.Create moderate to complex Layout of areas and modules.Modeling large equipmentReviewing and comment on vendor informationAdhere to industry codes and standards.QUALIFICATIONS Skills Engineering design and drafting technology diploma or related technical diploma or certificate.10+ years of experience in piping design and layout experience Extensive experience working with specific codes and standard practices in the Oil and Gas industry.Excellent knowledge of Design SoftwarePreviously project experience in Upstream Oil Sands is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide and manage status updates and provide necessary recommendations.Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
