Position Summary Purpose Acquire knowledge, work experience and certification in all NDT (ASNT) disciplines through our career training and development programs. Work with qualified and experienced NDT technicians onsite to gain field experience and to gain an understanding of NDT techniques. Will be required to meet the NDT competence and quality standards as there NDT training plan progress in their employment with the company. Duties & Responsibilities Functions ESSENTIAL • To undertake training and lectures covering basic levels in all NDT(ASNT) disciplines • Assist qualified NDT technicians when performing their respective jobs • Undertake specific projects or jobs as instructed by their line manager. • Ensure that their NDT logbook is updated as per instructed by their mentor. • To learn, perform with quality and be able to establish the most effective NDT techniques on components requiring inspection • To liaise with qualified technician, supervisor and/or manager on any aspects of work you may be unsure about prior to undertaking the work • Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements, where applicable. • The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonable be expected within the scope of the post NON-ESSENTIAL • The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive. • Additional tasks may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post. • Assist with any other duties as and when required. • Undertake specific project tasks as instructed by management. Safety Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment. Actively participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks as required by company and client. Ensure that all Safety procedures are always adhered to and that required documentation is kept updated. Other Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company. Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment. Qualifications ** Any interested candidates must reside in Soyo, Angola. ** Qualifications To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each of the essential functions listed below satisfactorily. DESIRED • Degree qualified Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics • Minimum 2 years' experience within the oil and gas industry. (P) • Flexible approach and ability to generate a team approach to problem solving (E) • Good communicator both written and verbal (E) Working Conditions This position is considered ONSHORE-OFFSHORE which is characterized as follows: • Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water • Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment • Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels • Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks. • Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases. • Work surface is stable, height is elevated • Requires working with radiation.
