The Quality Control Inspector inspects materials, parts, and/or products for conformance to blueprint specifications and standards using fixed or preset measuring instruments. Roles and Responsibilities: Inspect material or product for visual or surface defects such as cracks, pits and damaged finish, incomplete welds, structural flaws and hardness. Verify specified dimensions of product or material with precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and special gauges. Make acceptance/rejection decisions, referring questionable cases to supervisor. Identify and separate rejected parts, products or assemblies, interpret test results and work with production to assure that corrective action is taken on defective items. Maintain records and complete inspection reports and non-conformance reports as required. Visually inspect and verify equipment to ensure accuracy. Verify third party reports for conformance and accuracy. Input/extract information to/from SAP. Focused on continuous improvement in all areas. Ensures safe working practices and adheres to procedures. Minimum Job Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Experience reading blueprints and using precise measurement devices preferred.Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1.Forklift and overheard crane operation certification preferred.Excellent communication skills.WHMIS, Emergency First Aid.
