Overview / Responsibilities Wood is seeking a Engineering Manager to join us in the Minerals & Metals team, leading Europe's most significant and largest critical mineral development. Our client's project is focused on technology advanced processing methodologies for a large-scale manganese deposit. This project is one of our global industry's progressive developments that will support both local and wider Europe goals in reaching carbon footprint commitments, as well as economic demand, working towards a sustainable circular economy. This project is currently at FEED with 2yr+timeline through to a full EPCM lifecycle. In this role your role will manage the area and discipline engineering resources to ensure that overall project needs and priorities are met in a balanced fashion, and that design criteria and engineering work practices are carried out consistently and with a high degree of quality across the project. This role has the responsibility for coordinating and completing the various engineering, and start-up aspects of a project(s) while meeting HSSE, quality, schedule, and budget performance goals across all disciplines. Skills / Qualifications About You This opportunity is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who has built a career within medium to large scale EPCM projects, particularly within the engineering consultancy. If you have worked on an international project in Central Europe it would be highly desirable, but not essential In addition we are looking for, but not limited to; Bachelor's degree or Masters (preferred) in an engineering discipline Chartered Engineer/Registered Professional Engineer or equivalent with recognised professional body Prior experience in a Project Engineering Manager role within the consultancy/EPCM model from conceptual studies through to execution in the Mining industry. Ability to collaborate and build effective relations with a range of internal/external stakeholders. Ability to support, lead and coordinate wide range of engineering works in a multi-disciplinary team. Provide capabilities in leading project deliverables that offer both technical competency alongside commercial fit, through alternate thinking and a solution focused mindset. Sound understanding of Project Management principles, with a strong focus on Change Management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing people at all levels of the organization. Skilled in recruitment and selection, employee communication and management including performance management. Able to implement and embed standards and processes to effect delivery of engineering excellence.
