Overview / Responsibilities Wood KSS is looking for an expression of interest from a Piping SmartPlant Designer (Expatriate) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our Operations business on a 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, based in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. This role will be an initial 12 month contract commencing August/September 2023. Wood "Operations" delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers. Reporting to the Lead Piping Designer, you will be w orking across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, with a focus on design. To be successful in this role, you will have proven Designer level experience in Oil & Gas within an EPCM engineering and maintenance project environment with both onshore and offshore scope of work engagements. Responsibilities Design projects from scope and through to project completion 3D modelling of structural components using Smart Plant, PDMS Design & SP3D Demonstrated ability to check piping deliverables Liaising with the other discipline teams to ensure we meet the project outcomes and schedule Prepare procedural layouts and sequences Skills / Qualifications As part of the regional requirements for obtaining work permits, you must hold a relevant Diploma or Degree qualification in Engineering from a recognised institution. Suitably qualified, ideally you will have a minimum 3+ years in SmartPlant design within the Oil & Gas industry.
