Construction Manager/Project Manager Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:The successful candidate should have a good overall knowledge of the Refineries, a maintenance background with a strong knowledge/experience of planning/scheduling. Champions incident-free operation. Ensures all safe work practices are followed (LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hot work, etc). Conducts routine audits. Leads all tailgate and monthly safety meetings. Investigates all incident reports and takes action to prevent recurrence.Stewarding scope input/justification.Develop and communicate FEL plans (i.e. Contracting, Communication, Permits and critical lifts, Facility Plans, etc.)Adhere to the IMPACT process, including adherence to milestones, KPI ratability, scope creep.Work with Capital Projects PM's to determine who will manage pre-TA and TA work.Select and manage contractors to ensures tools, materials, labor resources and equipment are available for maintenance work. Coordinate support from internal resources to facilitate turnaround work (Pass Control, Security, Shops, Operations, Technical, etc)Select and manage company resources to oversee turnaround work. Establish clear work direction to mechanics to optimize work efforts. Administers personnel policies consistently within established guidelines. Effectively coaches, trains, and leads mechanics to achieve high performance standards.Facilitate weekly and daily meetings to coordinate team activities.Document all Lessons learned from all Phases of turnaround planning.Adopt digital tools as rolled out for use and provide feedback to product owners.Develops budgets and monitors cost to meet objective.This is a safety sensitive position.Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/High School equivalent.Valid driver's license with a history of safe driving practices.7+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry.Experience using Primavera, Refinery databases (RIMS, MAXIMO, etc) as well as Powerpoint, Excel and Word experience is a plus.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), and an aptitude for learning new software packages.Preferred QualificationsB.S Degree in Construction Management/Project Management preferred.Demonstrated leadership ability to continuously focus cross-functional teams to safely and efficiently drive progress in a very demanding environment, and to continuously motivate the team.Must be able to perform job walks in all areas of the Refinery and understand Refinery Instructions and Maintenance procedures (LOTO, RI 9900, etc.)Prior craft experience, Turnaround Company Representative, Relief Supervisor and/or Head Mechanics will be favored.With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
