Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently seeking Process Engineer to join our expanding Brisbane team who are growing to due large demand in the world's leading critical metals projects. Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects. Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. In this role you will be an integral team member on supporting the technical advisory and direction of key work scopes. As part of this role, duties will include: Ensure process designs meet required safety standards and actively participate in HAZOP studies and design reviews Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems for a wide range of commodities Prepare process deliverables such as process design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process control philosophies, operating cost estimates and study reports Support and assist Senior and Principal Process Engineers on studies and implementation projects. To be successful we are looking for the following skills/background: Tertiary Qualifications in Chemical, Metallurgy or equivalent from recognised institution Prior industry experience with varied base metal and mineral commodities such as nickel, cobalt, copper, lithium and rare earths Technical knowledge of process plant design exposed to work in concept/PFS/FS stages, in addition to project implementation Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience with metallurgical balancing and simulation software such as SysCAD and/or METSIM would be highly regarded, not essential as can be trained Current and valid Australian working rights So much of our success depends on feeling part of a team with people around us that we can rely on.
