Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently sourcing an experienced Welding Inspector to join the Wood team in Manila. Responsibilities: Review and comment on subcontractor welding/NDT procedure & qualifications (such as welders lists, NDT operator lists, welding consumables management procedure, piping/structural steel certificates, material traceability procedure, Welding Summary List and Welding traceability Reports, etc) Perform witness, inspection & surveillance checks and continually assess subcontractor performance on Welding/ NDT related activities Ensuring the quality of the work in accordance with the CQCP, approved ITP's, and procedures within assigned areas Issue status and trend reports as necessary and requested by Site Management providing suggestions on how to improve quality of welding/ NDT activities Prepare and ensure timely close out of punch lists items in accordance with the approved procedures Support completion team in the preparation/ review of Turn Over dossiers Skills / Qualifications A demonstrable commitment to safety in the workplace; leading by example Demonstrable knowledge of Oil & Gas industry materials and equipment of same, e.g., mechanical and electrical equipment, instrumentation, structural steel, piping materials Possess a minimum of 10 years in Welding Inspection Attention to detail, commitment to a "Right - First - Time" ethos Good coordination, interpersonal skills Good written skills, ability to present data in a clear and concise manner Self - motivating, well organized, resourceful and proactive Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can - do attitude and a commitment tomeeting and maintaining compliance Company Overview Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
