Partner with the best As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for:Being able to run appropriate tests and process/procedures.Having intermediate analytical and problem solving skills.Working together with people from the business unit.Working within a team setting and / or under guidance.Following written test plans and work instructions safely, along with verbal instructions from the lab manager with the ability to liaise effectively with engineers and program managementLiaising with internal/External contacts/clients/IVA'sPreparing test pipe samples using band saw, reciprocating saw, drill, router, planer, and a variety of shop and hand toolsMeasuring samples using tape measure, caliper, micrometer, and diameter tapeInstalling field or test fittings using a swaging machineConducting burst testsPutting samples on and off timed testsHaving good record-keeping skills, documenting tests and resultsBeing able to lift fifty poundsHaving computer skills, able to learn the control softwareAssisting in investigations of productsAssisting and conduct other lab tests as requiredHaving good housekeeping skills related to a lab environment and HSEPerforming any other duties as directed by the test managerTaking a lead on HSE and follow the BH safety culture Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:Have a High School Diploma or equivalent or specialized vocational training or Associate Degree with 3+ years' experience or University Degree (entry level)Have time served as Lab technician is advantageousBe PC literateHave flexible pipe experience is advantageousHave SolidWorks experience is advantageousHave overhead crane and forklift experience is a plusBe able to work in a team environmentBe at Lab work is quite physical, sample handling and lifting required Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone.
