Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Assist in the development and maintenance of project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for specific scopes Liaise with procurement, finance and time-capture functions, and third parties as required, to ensure accurate and timely capture of procurement, materials, subcontract and labour costs Support the project work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget set-up and approvals Assist in the development and maintenance of project cost budgets using appropriate software applications Provide inputs to project cost performance reports in accordance with project reporting requirements Receive, review, attest and process vendor invoices using Wood and/or client systems Review contract terms and conditions as they relate to billing and collections Ensure client billing is accurate and in accordance with contracts Month End hours and account reconciliations; Reconciliation of Invoice supporting backup as required Analyze standard operating procedures as they relate to billing and identify areas for improvement Assistant in the monitoring and reporting on cost impact of project manpower forecasts Assist in the development of project change orders / variations in accordance with engineering, procurement and construction change notifications Assistant in monitoring overall project cost performance and contingency drawdown. Participate in the project cost close-out process. Participate in Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement Reviews Skills / Qualifications Post-secondary, college or BSc. In engineering, accounting, finance, business or project administration One (1) to Two (2) years of cost control and or financial accounting administration experience Basic understanding of engineering and construction contracts Basic knowledge of cost software and related principles, tools and techniques including budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow Basic knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Cost Management including Change Management Basic understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities Basic understanding of change management and associated cost and schedule processes Ability to work well in a team and independently Ability to build exemplary working relationship with project teams and clients with professional service focus Strong numerical and analytical skills Commitment to continuous improvement Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Company Overview Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
