Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently has an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technologist/Designer with a focus on mechanical/piping. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Mining and Minerals, this position is in our Vancouver, BC office. This is an entry level role and the ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong communication skills, and be detail oriented. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic and growing team who uses their technical expertise to solve some of the world's toughest challenges. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for drawing preparation from conceptual details to working layout drawings for a variety of mechanical and piping projects Drawings include PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, and other drawings as required 3D modelling of process plants equipment and piping Produce high-quality engineering drawings in an accurate and efficient manner Ability to work under supervision of engineers or senior designers Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to identify, prioritize, and manage workload to meet deadlines Maintain a strong work ethic Ability to work collaboratively with other team members Ability to adapt to client constraints and preferences Skills / Qualifications Certificate or Diploma in Computer Aided Design (mechanical would be considered an asset) 0-2 years' experience in design and drafting Experience in AutoCAD Experience in 3D modelling software Excellent communication (both written and spoken) and relationship-building skills. Must be able to engage and interact with both internal and external stakeholders. Have a demonstrated track record of self-management and team work Effective/competent MS Office Suite User and learning internal Wood software Must be Canadian Citizen or authorized to work lawfully in Canada, without sponsorship from Wood Company Overview Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
