Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently seeking expression of interest from Licensed Electrician to join our team in PNG on an LNG facility on a FIFO rotational basis. The Licensed Electrician will perform electrician duties in a manner that protects safety, health and the environment, whilst conforming to quality and time requirements. Key Accountabilities: Understand & adhere to Stepback 5X5 principles in the performance of all duties Work to & guide through Permit Systems Plan all work taking into account changing conditions & to reports progress accurately Understand & adhere to the Hazardous Wiring Regulations Read & understand detailed electrical & mechanical drawings & specifications to plan & complete task & ascertain the materials & equipment required Installing, testing, repairing & commissioning electrical, transmission & distribution equipment & systems Planning the layout if wiring systems Testing, locating & repairing of electrical malfunctions Installing cables connect switches, outlets, other electrical equipment & electronic control systems Safely connecting & disconnecting electrical equipment to power supplies Carrying out cathodic & lightning protection Adept at trouble shooting & repairing electrical faults in equipment Skills / Qualifications Must have between 10-20 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry Recognized License from PNG Power Trained & certified to PNG/Australian Standards Capable & experienced in working on high voltage equipment (6.6 Kv) Capable & experienced in interpreting design drawings, installing, dismantling, troubleshooting/analysing, calibrating, modifying & commissioning all electronic Electrical switchgear & other electrical equipment such as, but not limited to: switchgear, motor control centres, circuit breakers, electrical motors, lighting fixtures, valve operators If you're an experienced Electrician, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today.
