For more information please go to The Oceaneering Entertainment Systems page ( Entertainment Systems (OES) | Oceaneering ) at www.oceaneering.com Position Summary The Systems Engineering Intern will support the Systems Engineering team in the execution of the day-to-day engineering activities assigned to the team. The primary role that the Systems Engineer is to provide fundamental and advanced knowledge in systems engineering processes and products that help define and manage the technical baseline in support of project teams. These processes and products include system theory of operation concepts and architectures, boundary and interface definition and management, requirements and compliance management, verification and validation management including acceptance testing for hardware and software. Duties & Responsibilities CORE DUTIES Works with the Systems Engineer to define system related products, tasks, scope, and budget Works with the Systems Engineer to deliver system related products and tasks within the defined scope and budget Manage requirement sets for projects, geographic regions, jurisdictions, and/or local authories Work with Systems Engineer to develop the technical aspects of the Product Breakdown Structure, deliverables (drawings, documentation, analysis), and the tasks required to produce the products and the associated Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Define and manage data schemas linking requirements to project products and phases Support Systems Engineer in preparation and at design reviews the system design aspects of a project to include requirements, change management, boundaries and interfaces, compliance, test strategies, and test results Support the Systems Engineer in identifying project risks (technical, budget, and schedule) Support the Systems Engineer in identifying, documenting, and tracking project technical requirements (including customer, industry, and system performance specifications) and work with Systems Engineer to ensure compliance Support the Systems Engineer in feasibility and trade studies as necessary Support the Systems Engineer in developing technical content of Statement of Work (SOW) for major sub-contracted technical work Support the Systems Engineer in developing Theory of Operations, Failure Analyses, and Verification/Validation documentation Support the Systems Engineer in developing equipment data and spare parts, test strategy, test plans, and test procedures to satisfy requirements Support the Systems Engineer in planning/supporting assembly, integration, and test activities as necessary and document resulting requirements verification and compliance Support the Systems Engineer in completing requirements compliance documentation to support final delivery/commissioning/F24 process ANCILLARY DUTIES Support the Systems Engineer as the first technical point of contact for post-commissioning and in service management and support Support requirements and effectivity management of products in service Other duties as assigned Qualifications REQUIRED Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program as a rising junior or senior or a master's degree program in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or appropriate engineering discipline. Commensurate experience will be considered. Good communication and organizational skills. Must be a U.S. citizen. Ability to work full-time during defined internship period Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) DESIRED 3.0+ cumulative GPA Academic excellence and community involvement Familiarity with the application of current software (i.e., SolidWorks, Acad, MathCAD, Matlab, Jama Connect, etc.). Additional Information This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
