Duties & Responsibilities Purpose Instructs classroom and hands-on application of Oceaneering remotely operated vehicle technical theory and operation of electronic and electrical systems, hydraulic systems and sub-systems including component repair, replacement, and maintenance and troubleshooting. Functions ESSENTIAL Instructs all aspects of electrical and hydraulic systems associated with Oceaneering remotely operated vehicles, complex subsea tooling, surface and subsea workover systems. Mentors and assess students' ability to troubleshoot ROV control and associated systems. Instructs theory of troubleshooting on fiber-optic components and test equipment. Instructs theory of troubleshooting on hydraulic systems. Instructs proper operation and maintenance of analytical test equipment. Instructs basic ROV piloting to include the use of sub-sea navigational equipment. Establishes and maintains parts and supplies associated with all classrooms and hands on applications associated with instruction and curriculum development. Troubleshoot and repair training aids and equipment. Assists in the development and maintains course curriculum. Travel to overseas training facilities to provide instruction, up to 50%. Qualifications Qualifications REQUIRED 4-year degree preferred or 3 years of electrical and electronics experience; hydraulics and or fluid power system experience.
