Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently seeking a Senior CAD Administrator in order to grow its Perth Mining & Mineral group. Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. A key component of decarbonising the world is the Mining and Minerals Industry which supplies the critical minerals required for this revolution. Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Coppe r, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects. Reporting to the Engineering Systems Manager, the Senior CAD Administrator will provide support for CAD applications (both 2D and 3D) on projects and monitor conformance to the procedures and regulatory standards. In this position, roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited, the following: Providing application support to project users. Provide training and education to CAD users on the use of the Wood Intelligent CAD applications and procedures Assist in the deployment of design tool standards to projects Actively contribute to the development of the intelligent 2D and 3D CAD environment including modelling, design review, reporting and drawing production Admin level expertise in the Bentley Plant Design products OpenPlant Modeller /Open Buildings Designer Assist with the maintenance and configurations of engineering applications across projects Apply Wood, Client, and Project standards within the engineering systems design tools General project support of Engineering Systems generally within the Mining and Metals group Project set up/mobilisation Assist with the development of quality procedures and supporting documentation that reflect best practice initiatives and workflows that will assist in the efficient use of CAD applications System configuration User support Familiarity with Databases and SQL queries Ensure all floor staff requests are communicated to the ES Team to assess and delegate tasks. Skills / Qualifications What will set you apart from other applicants will be your previous experience in a large company within the resources industry in a similar position. Your 10+ years of experience is a catalyst for fostering excellent relationships both internally and externally. You will also have: Experience Minimum 5 years' experience supporting and customising CAD systems Excellent MicroStation skills A sound knowledge of Plant Design Software and its applications particularly OpenPlant Modeler and P&ID software Proven ability in the use of intelligent 3D engineering delivery systems Good interpersonal skills Good written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of VBA programming language Understanding of the OpenPlant data structures and the ability to add component catalogues and specifications Upholds safety standards, personally and organisationally; corrects unsafe conditions Key qualities include: Demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and managers Demonstrate the ability to actively participate within a team Good written and verbal communication skills Proactively seek personal and professional development opportunities Be an active participant in demonstrating the Wood principles Willingness to learn Please note, only applicants holding valid working rights in Australia will be considered.
