The position assists the MEAP Security Director and business in the delivery of security awareness programs and make recommendations on security strategies to the MEAP Security Director and the business Leadership Team.As a Country Security Manager, you will be responsible for: Being Responsible for Physical security and Crisis Management (SCM) program for the protection of assets and employees within Iraq, Kuwait and Lebanon. Expertise within a field comprising of different approaches, methodologies, techniques, and processes. Operating in a large matrix organizational environment "operationally", reporting to the relevant country Leadership and Business Management Team and "functionally" to the Regional Security Director (MEAP). The Security Manager will be the primary focal point for advice on security and risk management matters across all business & operating activities. Assisting business leaders in developing and updating emergency action plans and expatriate protection programs. In the event of an emergency or unstable conditions, in coordination with senior management and the Regional Security Director (MEAP), assist in the evacuation of 'at risk' personnel and the orderly close of business operations. Enabling the business and ensuring all security factors are appropriately communicated and used by leadership when making operational and strategic decisions across Iraq, Kuwait, and Lebanon. This includes developing appropriate and influential relationships with the Product Line, Country management teams, and BH facilities site security personnel in the area. The post holder is responsible for maintaining security programs and ensuring consistency and operational effectiveness of the security team(s) throughout the area of operation. Supporting a diverse and dispersed business located in Iraq, Kuwait and Lebanon. The security exposures could be in the millions of dollars. They could create catastrophic events if security risks such as community unrest, insurgency, fraud, violent crime, embezzlement, terrorist activity, etc. and crisis management programs are not adequately managed. Sharing and promoting the Baker Hughes Security guidelines policy and organizational philosophy Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will: Have Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Security Management and 10 years' experience in security and 5 years of operational experience in Iraq is essential, experience in Kuwait and or Lebanon is desired Able to fluently speak and write in English Have excellent knowledge of the oil and gas industry (Baker Hughes)Excellent knowledge of tribal and Provincial Leader sensitivities Have liaison experience with national, state and local law enforcement, government regulatory agencies and private industrial security Be able to be effective at developing internal and external alliances to fulfill security mission and able to "win the license to operate" Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
