Job Description - Subsea Controls Engineer Provide inputs / Philosophy pertaining to PM Schedule of Controls Equipment and Spares, Long Term Storage requirement, Preservation requirement as required. Responsible for updating SOP / SMP pertaining to Controls Equipment and Spares and their maintenance. Develop IMR procedures and prepare preventive maintenance schedules of subsea control systems. Co-ordinate and manage all technical aspects of OSS Subsea Control System, Electrical, Hydraulic system, TUTU on top sides of platform, subsea control modules/components during commissioning and steady state operations. Develop commissioning and Steady state operation & maintenance procedures related to Controls. Responsible for managing planned and unplanned shutdowns of Subsea control systems and processes. Develop/advise logics for modifications along with system OEM in Subsea systems as and when required. Co-ordinates the work of contractors to rectify and test Subsea control systems. Ensure Controls interfacing issues are addressed with the Subsea Installed Equipment. Participation in interface & risk management activities to identify and properly manage and mitigate risks during commissioning, steady state operations, well intervention activities as and when required. Co-ordinate with Contractor's Affiliates, installation contractor and 3 rd party vendors for smooth hook up of future wells without effecting steady state operations. Co-ordinates with Client Subsea control engineer during offshore OIMR activities. Maintain an overview of the control systems during commissioning and steady state operations. Identify shortcomings in procedures, workforce, safety, failures, preventive maintenance and planning to detect, address, and take remedial action. Required to travel offshore and support OIMR activities when required. Carry out and conduct diagnostics on Subsea Control System Responsible for execution of Site Acceptance Test of Controls Equipment / Spares procured by Client through OSS. Responsible for execution of Site Receipt Test of Controls Equipment / Spares retrieved from Subsea. Responsible for execution of Mobilization Check and De-Mobilization checks for Controls Equipment going and coming from Offshore. Shall specify min / max level of spares required, identify critical spares, storage condition requirement for Controls Equipment / Spares. Conducting Regular Audit at Client's and Contractor Premise of stored Spares and Controls Equipment. Assist Client Personnel for Procurement of Controls Equipment / Spares. Inspection of Client Procured Controls Equipment / Spares. Provide inputs for preparation of the work plan for the Controls related Operations at Platform/Vessel. Provide Inputs during development of procedures for Subsea Intervention Operations pertaining to Controls Equipment. Interface with Client Personnel and Contractor's Affiliates to support Controls related work. Responsible for Close-Out of Client's Technical Query with response from concerned group within OSS related to Controls Equipment. Responsible for providing inputs / recommendation / Closing-out Field Anomaly Report pertaining to Controls Related Equipment. Reporting to Client on progress, risks and interfaces with area of Responsibility. Participate and involve as required in HAZID, HAZOP studies and workshops as required by Client. Responsible for ensuring all aspects for Controls Equipment like Electrical Isolations/De-Isolations, Identification of Channels, Correctness of Electrical and Hydraulic Schematics, activities carried out Pre and post retrieval of Control Equipment are covered and addressed adequately while developing Controls work or Controls related Subsea Intervention Procedure. Responsible for carrying out Function Testing of Controls Equipment post Installation on Platform / Subsea Adhere to Client HAZOP procedure and participate in Risk Assessment conducted by Client Provide input to the Daily Progress Report and the quarterly / annual Plan. Submit Report for all Controls Related work carried out along with details such as SCM replaced, Other Controls Equipment used / any anomaly / Incident / Lesson Learned / Recommendation for Continuous Improvement. Prepare & Submit Monthly Handover Report (Limited to Summary of major Issues like FIL, SCM Status, Instrumentation Status, HPU/EPU Health Condition, Critical Spares Requirement etc.) to counterpart with copy to Client's personnel to ensure efficient discharge of Area of Responsibilities without any communication gap. Provide input to the daily progress report and the quarterly, annual and yearly plans
