Position Summary OceanSMART is seeking skilled Cargo / Maritime , software product manager to join our dynamic team. As OceanSmart Product Manager, you will lead the strategy, planning, delivery and in-life optimization of the for SMART Cargo and SMART AIS products. You will develop the vision and roadmap for the product based on input from internal stakeholders, customers, market research and your own industry insight, contributing to the creation and maintenance of the base line configurations. The role has an active external aspect leading and managing the relationship, run users and industry forums to ensure the continued enhancement and relevance of the commercial product suite At OceanSMART you 'will have the opportunity to be part of an industry-changing initiative while working with a great team. We provide: An environment that promotes innovation and outside the box thinking Cutting edge technology and tools Exciting and challenging projects Career development opportunities Flexible working environment Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities / Functions Define the product strategy and roadmap Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end-of-life Collect, requirements from all stakeholders Write Product Requirements and define solution that align with OS product strategy Create and Maintain Baseline configurations Monitor, report and improve product performance Contribute to the marketing required to launch products ADDITIONAL Manage Partner and industry body relationships Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry Qualifications Qualifications REQUIRED Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience 10+ Year General Maritime or Bulk Cargo experience 5+ Years Software Product Manage experience DESIRED Excellent understanding of Bulk Maritime Supply chain including chartering, brokering, and voyage/vessel operations/management A desire to change an industry that has never desired change Desire to be a part of working from a small team to a major operation Ability to quickly learn new products, interfaces, and processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in an Agile environment Ability to work effectively in a multi-team environment (in person and distributed) Additional Information Working Conditions This position requires travel which is characterized as follows. Regular customer meeting across the globe Regular visits to OceanSMART internal locations: Houston, London, San Diego Regular air travel 25 to 50% Physical Activity/Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
