Position Summary Utilizes existing software systems to manage the plan, schedule, coordinate and supervise all production activities, including new order processing, work order maintenance, shop scheduling, and on-going analysis of Production Control Systems. Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manages Item Master Attribute data to create a time phased material plan that supports the Master Schedule and inventory investment objectives. Proactively identifies, communicates, and mitigates schedule execution issues. Facilitates resolution of cross functional issues as appropriate. Manages PIDs from creation through financial closure. Works with purchasing and manufacturing to determine when to release new PIDs. Works with manufacturing, cost accounting and purchasing to understand and report PID cost variances. Reports variances to management as required. Provide feedback to Manufacturing Leads, Production Planners, and Production Coordinators on the status of open PIDS (production identification) to ensure on time completion of schedule milestones. Review schedules and identify risks/problem issues. Develop work arounds, contingencies, and expedite materials/information as required. Develop product knowledge of those materials used in the manufacture of the ROV system. Understand the manufacturing build sequence to best support the overall production schedule. Ensures the data integrity of the ERP system, including but not limited to Item Master Attribute and PID data. Practice CI (Continuous Improvement) concepts to improve processes. Propose possible solutions to problems identified. Other duties as required. Qualifications REQUIRED High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Associates Degree: BA/BS preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years planning experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with APICs certification. DESIRED Thorough knowledge of MRP and inventory management concepts, and ERP systems; PeopleSoft preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams. Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications and PeopleSoft ERP System is a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS Knowledge of appropriate steps to analytical problem solving. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals. Treats others fairly and with respect.
