We provide technical solutions to help with all challenges.Partner with the bestAs an Offshore Production Chemist, you'll handle all offshore production chemical programs and undertake hydrocarbon, water and gas sampling and analysis. You will deal with customer requirements in a professional manner to deliver the highest levels of service, safety and compliance.As an Offshore Chemist, you will be responsible for: Monitoring offshore production chemical programs to assess the impact on production, integrity and the environmentPerforming optimisation of production chemical programsUndertake hydrocarbon, water and gas sampling for routine laboratory analysis following approved proceduresMaintaining laboratory equipment, LIMS system and managing site inventories of production and laboratory chemicalsAssisting with the diagnosis and troubleshooting of production upsets and issuesUndertaking chemical field trials as requiredLiaising with field operational personnel to communicate daily tasks and progress status of longer-term activitiesFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will: Have a Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalentHave 3+ years' experience in Oil & Gas industry. Experience in Commercial Laboratory including gas chromatography analysis and Mercury Analysis is considered beneficial.Have background understanding of the proper application of production chemicals in the oil and gas industryHave an understanding of production processes and systems from downhole to pipeline distributionHave proficient use of common Microsoft computer-based programsHave ability to work and communicate well with othersHave strong focus on all aspects of HSEHave authority to work in AustraliaWorking with usOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
