You can find out more about us on company website Job title: Embedded Software Engineer for new Wireline Platform Location: Clamart, France Job Summary: The embedded software engineer will be part of the Wireline TLM (Technology Lifecycle Management) team, and he/she will work on HRCC (telemetry cartridge) Redesign project. The scope of work of this group is to develop and industrialize Embedded Software for Wireline downhole tools. This tool operates in harsh environments exposed to high temperature, with limited connection bandwidth with surface and important constraints on the hardware selection for robustness to shock and vibrations. The equipment typically triggers sensors, takes measurements, post-process the data, records it in memory, communicates through telemetry with surface and by the addition of all those features delivers a service to our clients. The digital systems are at the core of this downhole equipment and the Embedded Software Engineer role is to fully industrialize this digital part. The Engineer develops the missing software functionalities of the digital system with the objective of producing high quality code and documentation to help the project team achieve the tool commercialization. He/She is also driving the Embedded Software test strategy, and he/she works in close collaboration with the project team members either from electrical hardware or tool physicist Required skills Experience in embedded real time software development in C/C++ language Experience with embedded software programming, debugging and testing Solid understanding of design and testing of digital circuitry (Microcontrollers, DSP, Flash memories, etc.), communication interfaces (CAN, USB, Ethernet, RS485, RS232, SPI, etc.), and analog circuitry (analog front ends, filters, ADCs, power supplies, etc.) Participating in agile software development, technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, source code management with Git, etc. Creating and maintaining embedded software documentation (requirements, specification, design, development, integration, test procedures and results). Experience in implementation of signal processing algorithms in embedded targets.
