Job Title: eCAD Designer Location: Sugar Land, Texas, USA Job Description: The Electrical CAD Designer is responsible for preparing and maintaining engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings and other related documentation per ANSI/ Schlumberger standards, considering methods of manufacture and tolerance and their effect on related parts or assemblies. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Function as a design engineer for routine/correction. Depending on seniority, use the CAD system to prepare and maintain simple to average complexity electrical and electronic layouts, average complexity mechanical and highest complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches or verbal instruction. Be responsible for the accuracy of assignments, except for design features that are the responsibility of the project engineer. Understand ANSI/Schlumberger drafting methods, standards and procedures. Understand Schlumberger manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpretation of ANSI/Schlumberger standards and procedures. Possesses basic knowledge of the mechanical and, depending on the seniority, partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic Product Line. Maintain status reports on all projects assigned. Qualifications / Competencies: min 3 years direct design experience Knowledge of electrical system packaging design (substrates, component mounting, thermal principles) Knowledge of contract manufacturer processes and practices Can function independently and in a team Strong decision making Strong leadership skills and able to effect change through influence Excellent oral and written communication skills SLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
