Position Summary Project Scheduler and Risk Manager for the Pressurized Rover project Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for proactively building out, incrementally updating, validating, analyzing, and maintaining the project integrated master schedule. Responsible for proactively building out, incrementally updating, and maintaining a set of summary/analysis schedules for ease of team and management consumption. Work closely with the NASA PR Project, EHP program, Other NASA programs, and international partner teams to identify, document, and report on the interdependencies between the efforts. Work closely with the Associate Project Manager to coordinate schedules with higher level organizations (e.g. program, NASA division). Work closely with the Associate Project Manager to analyze schedules for technical, risk, cost, and workforce implications. Perform ongoing critical path analyses, risk analyses, and reporting. Evaluate and recommend schedule improvement opportunities. Support the project team to provide clear visibility on the status and schedule of the project to internal external customers. Develop, document, control, maintain, and lead the Pressurized Rover risk management process. Coordinate schedules with higher level organizations (e.g. program, NASA division). Work closely with the NASA Pressurized Rover Project, EHP program, Other NASA programs, and international partner teams to identify, document, and report on the risks associated with project efforts. Work closely with the Associate Project Manager to represent, coordinate, elevate, downgrade, and mitigate risks in coordination with the project and program processes. Track risks and update them regularly. Close risks when appropriate and maintain an archive of closed risks. Occasional support of international meetings in the evenings from approximately 18:30 to 21:00 Central Time may be required. Occasional international travel may be required. Manage time and keep track of tasks effectively. Perform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions. Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED: BS degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology/or related degree from an accredited school in the field or in a related area and a minimum of two (2) years of experience; or a High School Diploma and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of related experience. Significant experience using Microsoft Project. Demonstrated success with the technical risk management aspect of project management. Knowledge of and previous experience in delivering flight hardware at the project or program level Schedule management experience. Self-motivated, team player and adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels. Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings. Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. REQUISITION PREFERENCES: Systems engineering experience. SharePoint Experience. Familiar with JSC Organizations, processes, and procedures.
