The position reports to the Canada Land Managing Director and is accountable for: Developing the Indigenous strategy to support growth in hiring, supplier diversity, business opportunities, and community relationships. Leading the CCAB PAR Phase 3 application process, advising how to enhance key areas for submission. Strengthening relationships between SLB and First Nations communities, with a focus on the areas we work. Building the opportunity pipeline to identify First Nations communities to partner with for revenue share agreements. Facilitate revenue growth for Indigenous partnerships with SLB. Identifying opportunities to increase spend with Indigenous suppliers (current and new), with competitive pricing. Job Responsibilities Collaborate with business line management, sales, supply chain, and HR to understand opportunities to enable opportunities with Indigenous organizations. Understand company products and services. Understand competitor partnerships that may be conflict of interest with First Nations communities of interest. Liaise with business partner Indigenous Relations to understand key Indigenous communities where they operate. Establish connections with First Nations communities to identify best fits to align with Indigenous growth strategy. Identify new business opportunities - new markets, new partnerships, new ways to reach existing markets, for the service/product/business. Promote value proposition and business offerings internally and externally. Lead the development of proposal strategies. Coordinate the technical, operational, commercial and legal risk mitigation / support / reviews for all proposals. Lead proposal management reviews to obtain alignment and approval before proposal submission. Participate in negotiations, as needed. Ensure proper handover of approved opportunities to internal stakeholders. Develop and maintain good relationships within Indigenous communities. Develop plan to increase Indigenous cultural events internally in the key areas we work (Calgary, Edmonton, Clairmont, Fort St John). Support internal groups to assess their current sustainability performance and identify and prioritize key sustainability initiatives. Support internal groups to formulate action plans with defined objectives, targets and responsibilities to support agreed upon sustainability strategies. Serve as the point of contact for any and all interfaces with key stakeholders across our value chain and in the communities where we operate on the subject of sustainability. Promote a culture of sustainability through championing communications, training and employee awareness campaigns. Attend conferences, meetings, career fairs, and industry events, as needed. Requirements Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Communications, Aboriginal Studies, or Indigenous Relations preferred. 3+ years' relevant work experience. Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills to facilitate relationship building within and across teams, as well as within Indigenous communities. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indigenous people, governance, culture, history, community dynamics and protocols. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who self-identify as Indigenous.
