Position Summary Providing support for a wide variety of activities of human resources including employee relations, recruiting, and administration of benefits. The main responsibility is to advise managers, supervisors, in all HR practices, to provide information to employees about regulations, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and to provide general support. Be a first point of contact for senior management team. Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL Recruitment and Selection: Support managers with manpower planning and forecasting. Participate as appropriate in the short listing/interview of candidates Oversee the Angola national recruitment activities and provide the guidance to recruitment assistant. Employee Induction and Orientation: Assist managers in inducting and onboarding new hires in the organization Responsible for HR induction. Reward and recognition: Advise managers and employees on Company standards of remuneration, working conditions and benefits. Contribute to ongoing reviews of Company benefits in association with regional benefit manager Oversee the medical and other local benefits Work closely with Partner and support managers to come up remuneration package for new hires. Work closely with corporate compensation team and provide needed local support. Supervises the payroll administration. Performance Management: Coach and provide guidance to managers on company Performance Management process ( Pay for performance philosophy) Assist managers with PIP process and support in promoting performance culture. Support and guide managers on employee development programs. Work closely with each service line competency teams and bring consistent approach across the board. Talent Management: Assist with the identification of High Potential employees and development of succession plan for client group Support client group on IDP (Individual development programs) Oversee the organization of training courses, maintenance and administration of employee training records as and when needed. Responsible for delivering HR related training for the People managers Employee Relations: Provide advice on grievance and disciplinary matters. Administers employee disciplinary action plans and ensures disciplinary logs are maintained accordingly. Be involved in discussion with managers about promotions/ demotions/ transfers/ redundancies/ terminations. Review terms and conditions of employment on an ongoing basis. Management of Occupational Health referrals for client group. Participate in the disciplinary hearing meetings and support with minutes of the meetings. Issuing warning, disciplinary and termination letters related gross misconduct. Manage the transfer of employees in to/out of the Region by liaising with global HR teams/ Global mobility/ HRC and relevant business units Personnel Policy and Procedure: Establish and continuously review policy and procedure to ensure that it is aligned to Company strategy. Provide advice to employees and managers on interpretation and implications of policy and procedure. General: Oversee the local payroll matters. Develops programs and opportunities that identifies and promotes employee engagement. Initiates and leads employee activities and communications. Audits employee personnel files and records for suitable content and legal compliance. Conducts exit interviews and reviews absenteeism/turnover reports. Establish links with personnel professionals within the industry. Undertake projects as required. Develop, implement and review department plans and objectives. Lead the local HR team and advise on day-to-day HR admin tasks. Safety: Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment. Other: Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company. Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilties. Qualifications REQUIRED Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five (5) years related Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree is Human resources (desired) Minimum 2 years of experience in leading the team.
