Purpose To actively support the operation of the business by providing an effective and professional HR service covering the full generalist remit within the designated client group. Functions Talent Acquisition (TA): Assist local managers with manpower planning and forecasting. Participate as appropriate in the short listing/interview of candidates. (Nationals) Keep a track of all open roles and ensure they are closed on timely manner. Oversee the Angola national recruitment activities and provide the guidance regional Talent Acquisition team. Assist HR Manager with nationalization program to meet the mandatory local legal requirements. Ensure transfer of employees between different legal entities in and out of the region. Coordinate and work closely with Talent Acquisition team-UK and Human resource centre on recruitment matters. Employee Relations: Assist HR Manager on employee grievance and disciplinary matters. Provide advice to the team leaders on redundancy, dismissal and absence situations as required Participate in the disciplinary hearing meetings and support with minutes of the meetings. Issuing warning, disciplinary and termination letters related gross misconduct Manage the transfer of employees in to/out of the Region by liaising with global HR teams/ Global mobility/ HRC and relevant business units. Assist in managing of Occupational Health referrals for client group. Be involved in discussion with HR Manager about promotions and transfers. Performance Management Asist HR Manager in providing support to the line mangers related to performance management. Manage Performance Improvement Program to be used for improving poor performing associates and train people managers on how to deal with the poor performers. Reward & Recognition Advise managers and employees on Company standards of remuneration, working conditions and benefits. Contribute to ongoing reviews of Company benefits in association with regional benefit manager Talent Development (TD) Assist with the identification of High Potential employees and development of succession plan for client group Assist with the coordination of Company Appraisal programme. Support client group on IDP (Individual development programs) Develop annual training plan for each client group and agree training budgets with Senior Management Oversee the organisation of training courses, maintenance and administration of employee training records as and when needed. Responsible for the design and delivery of HR related training for the People Management Programme in conjunction with the HR team Wellness Coordinating and arranging wellness programs. Act as HR Representative for Sports & Social Club for assigned region Specialist Projects Contribute for assigned projects. General Advise employees and managers on the interpretation and implications of policies and procedures Develop and review HR policies, procedures and documentation ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice Work with internal and external audit teams during reviews when required Seek out opportunities for improvement in department procedures and ways of working Actively work towards creating and maintaining a positive relationship between the HR Department and all other areas of the business The list of the job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post Assist with any other duties as and when required . Management of Healthy Working Lives initiative for assigned region Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications E - Essential Bachelors or Master's Degree in Human Resource Management. Previous min 5 to 7 years of generalist experience in HR Advisory role in large or global organization. Experience in different areas of HR preferred such as global COE or HR Shared Services Managed midsize team.( both direct and remote) Fluent in English and Portuguese language skills is must. Knowledge of the Angola region is must. P - Preferred Experience in the oil and gas industry Experience of Human Resources Databases Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Able to build strong relationships at every level of the organization and to think from the customer perspective A working style driven by strong organization, prioritization and problem-solving skills Adapts well to change, is results driven and self-motivated, setting and achieving goals with minimal supervision. Strong project management skills, detail oriented; must be highly organized with the ability to manage towards multiple deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills A skilled user of Microsoft Office packages. Knowledge of Psoft/ SAP is an advantage. Working Conditions This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night & Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place and Work surface is stable (flat) Physical Activity/Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
