Mechanical Engineer - Fixed Equipment Subject Matter Expert - Provides Mechanical engineering expertise to a refinery maintenance team.  The Company My client is a global company headquartered in Paris, France.  Formed in 1959, it has a long established record for technical excellence and innovation in the energy, aerospace and renewables sectors. The Ideal Candidate My client is looking for someone who wants to help them grow.  Ideally, they will have at least five years in plant experience upon graduation in a heavy process industry, particularly, but not limited to, refining or petrochemicals. You can be in the beginning, middle or latter stages of your career.  Key will be the ability to apply your technical knowledge and practical problem solving skills to a wide range of projects and be able to interact with multiple stakeholders in a refinery setting.  Being responsive to ongoing and changing owner requirements will be key. The RoleThe role is based on site at the Torrance Refinery operated by PBF Energy in the South Bay Area of Greater Los Angeles. The role has a dual reporting relationship to both my client's site manager and the owner's maintenance management.Working hours and conditions will mirror those of PBF employees and involve a 9/80 biweekly roster.
